The short version
We don’t ask you to create an account, and we don’t collect your name, address, or payment details. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site, and our calculators run in your browser. We don’t sell your data. That’s the gist; the details are below.
What we collect
- Usage and analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and how the site performs. This uses cookies and your approximate location derived from your IP address. We’ve configured it to respect your consent choice (see our Cookie Policy).
- If you email us. When you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to fix issues you report.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our host keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability.
Our calculators do their math in your browser. The values you type in are not sent to us or stored on our servers.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We rely on a few service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Google — Google Analytics, for the usage statistics described above.
- Hostinger — our web host, which stores the site and its server logs.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
Your choices and rights
You can decline analytics cookies through our consent banner, and you can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. If you’re in the EU or UK, these rights come from the GDPR; if you’re in California, from the CCPA, including the right to opt out of any sale of personal information (we don’t sell it). Data retention
Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ settings, after which it is aggregated or deleted. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
Children
This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves — for example, if we add affiliate links or new services. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top. If we ever add affiliate links, we’ll disclose them clearly on the pages where they appear.
